I have been obsessed with music (in particular) for as long as I can remember, singing continually even when not appropriate at times. My father is/was a classical guitarist (among other genres) and vocalist, as was his father, and so my love of music began early.

I began singing in choirs and other vocal ensembles (something I adore) when I was 8 years old, was singing in adult choirs by the time I was 13, and was also a member of the BC Honor Choir. I am self taught on piano, and I’ve never taken a lesson (although I would like to and should have) learning entirely by ear. At age 8 I started learning recorder in school and less than 2 years later, at a different school that had no music program, I convinced the school to start a recorder class where I began teaching recorder to my peers (and some adults).

Later, I played flute in concert & jazz bands at school (although truth be told, I hated the flute), and also learned Double Bass/String Bass. I toured Canada and parts of the US with a band for a year after I learned to play electric bass guitar. Over the years I have continued to play and sing in various bands, everything from country to jazz, and to grow my arsenal of musical skills, learning (though certainly not to virtuoso level) several instruments including Anglo-Saxon Lyre, Harp, Hornpipe and various percussion.

I studied voice originally with Les Neufeld and then later with renowned vocalist Ingrid Suderman, competed in many vocal competitions and won several awards particularly in Solo Opera and Oratorio.

Theatre and Film/TV are also passions of mine. I have been involved in theatre and stage performance almost since birth, both behind the curtains and on stage. As an actor & vocalist, I have been in many productions from the dramatic to comedic, musical theatre, opera, Shakespeare and everything in between. I have also been seen in several Film projects from student and independent films to big budget shows, though mostly as a background artist. Recently I became involved with "The An Tir Players" troupe of actors and appeared as "Countess Olivia" in their production of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night or What You Will", "Helena" in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Grumio" in "Taming of the Shrew" and most recently as "Tullus Aufidius" in "Coriolanus" (which is my favourite Shakespeare play).

Within the SCA, I have found my niche/s using my best skills as a bard by providing music and entertainments in the background at various events, acting with The An Tir Players, writing poetry and occasionally telling stories.
